Martina Wärenfeldt is a Swedish portrait photographer known for her creatively styled Fine Art portraits, inspired by the Old Masters of oil painting and shaped with a modern, contemporary feel. Her work centers on people, presence, and creating images that feel both timeless and personal.

As a young woman living in California, Martina decided to pursue photography and earned her degree at Santa Monica College in Los Angeles. Early on, she discovered a natural talent for photographing people and, while still in school, worked professionally creating portraits for clients in the entertainment industry.

After nearly eight years in California, she returned to her native Sweden and opened her first studio at the age of 26. That was almost three decades ago. Since then, Martina has worked full time as a portrait photographer, building a long-standing career rooted in artistry and entrepreneurship.

Today, her work spans professional headshots and personal branding sessions for business leaders, alongside artistic and glamorous Fine Art portraits for everyday people. A defining moment in her career was the development of her signature painterly style, built through deliberate lighting, thoughtful styling and posing, refined editing, and a harmonious colour palette.

Martina has been a Canon Nordic Professional since 2021 and became a Canon European Ambassador in 2023. Alongside her client work, she is a mentor, educator, speaker, and international judge, and has received over 100 photography awards, holding distinctions as a Double Master of WPPI, a Master of The Portrait Masters, and a Fellow of the British Societies of Photographers.
