Terms of Use

By registering and submitting your works on the website www.cosmosawards.com, you fully and unconditionally accept the following legal terms and conditions:

1. Intellectual Property and Authenticity of Works

  • Legal Ownership: All submitted works (photographs and video productions) are the legal property of the natural or legal person holding the account and associated with the email address used during registration.

  • Originality & Creation: The Entrant guarantees that the submitted material is entirely their own original work. Any editing, montage, color correction, or post-production process must have been carried out exclusively by the creator or under their strict and direct supervision.

  • Copyright Protection: Copyrights always remain the exclusive property of the Entrant. By submitting the work, the Entrant assumes full, exclusive, and indisputable legal responsibility for it.

2. Grant of Usage Rights (License Grant)

  • Participation in the competition does not deprive the creator of their copyrights. However, the Entrant grants Cosmos Awards a non-exclusive license to reproduce, publish, and display the submitted photographs and videos. This license is granted for the sole purpose of promoting, advertising, and ensuring the smooth operation of www.cosmosawards.com (e.g., announcing winners, website gallery, promotion on the official social media channels of the organization).

3. Content, Legality, and Prohibitions

  • The audiovisual material must under no circumstances infringe upon the intellectual property, commercial, or proprietary rights of third parties.

  • The submission of content that promotes discrimination, hate speech, violence, or harassment based on race, gender, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, or age is strictly prohibited.

  • Works (photographs/videos) proven to have been produced in violation of any applicable national or international law will be immediately disqualified from the competition and permanently deleted from the Cosmos Awards archives.

4. Consent of Depicted Persons (Model & Property Release)

  • In the event that identifiable persons appear in the submitted works (either in a photograph or video footage), the Entrant bears the exclusive responsibility to have secured written and signed consent (model release) from these persons in advance.

  • Cosmos Awards reserves the right to request the submission of these authorization documents at any time. Failure to provide them may result in the disqualification of the work.

5. Management of Entries and Competition Integrity

  • To protect the integrity, prestige, and high standard of the competition, Cosmos Awards reserves the right to transfer an entry to a different category (if deemed more appropriate conceptually or technically) or to completely disqualify an entry if a violation of these rules is detected.

6. Limitation and Disclaimer of Liability

  • Cosmos Awards, the judges, and the platform's partners bear absolutely no responsibility for incomplete, inaccurate, or incorrect information provided by the Entrants during their registration.

  • The organization assumes no liability for technical failures, server outages, data loss, connection errors, or any other technical impediment that may arise during the file submission process or the course of the competition.

7. Amendments and Acceptance of Terms

  • The organization reserves the right to modify, update, or revise these rules at any time, without prior individual notice, in order to adapt to new technical, operational, or legal developments.

  • The creation of an account and participation on the website constitute an explicit confirmation that the Entrant has read, fully understood, and accepted all the above terms of the agreement in their entirety.
